MIM Presidential Meeting 2017
Posted : 07/08/2017
MIM Presidential Dinner 2017

On June 28th 2017, two of my fellow colleagues of MIM-31 and I were  invited to join the Presidential Dinner at L’appart – Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit. The Presidential Dinner is an experience-sharing session between previous MIM presidents, Ajarn Pannapachr Itthiopassagul – our beloved MIM director, and the current management team.  The agenda of the meeting was not only to widen our perspectives on the MIM culture through the lens of former presidents, but also to discuss on how we can contribute to uplift the program in ways that it remains a source of pride for MIM alumni and open more doors of opportunities for MIMers in years to come.

Feeling highly anticipated, all members of the club gathered at L’appart sharply at 8 pm and the meeting commenced. The first topic which was brought into discussion was the essence of MIM core values, which are being real, being creative, being bold, and being involved, and how we can exemplify these values in our class of MIM-31.   Personally, I was thrilled with the diversity of thoughts from each of our previous Presidents and it is their foresight and past efforts that makes such a positive contribution to our program.  Learning through their experience, my colleagues and I came through the discussion feeling enriched.

As we gradually moved down the agenda, we started to discuss about how to cultivate the MIM culture and the requirements of becoming a world-class marketer. Ajarn Pannapachr generously shared her perspective on current global academic standards and the program essentials which are designed to optimize each student’s potential.  Others shared their valuable experience on how these activities have shaped them into better individuals in the business world.

After four hours of inspiration, one of the thoughts that came to my mind was that a positive and progressive culture does not come easy. It takes time to build and is definitely not a one man show.  Therefore, I’ve learnt that to create a culture that prevails through time requires constant dedication, collaboration, consistency and guidance which we MIMers have the grit to accomplish.

Lastly, I would like to offer my sincere gratitude to Ajarn Pannapachr and to every MIM President member for being the fore founders of the MIM culture that we can all be proud of and for openly sharing their experiences with us.  On behalf of MIM-31, we look forward to embrace all opportunities that come our way, learn from them and play a part to uphold our MIM culture with dignity.  Thank you.
