One of MIM’s highlights is that our curriculum puts emphasis on composing business plans and the best ones will be entered into international business plan competitions such as the Venture Labs Investment Competition in Texas, (formerly Global Moot Corp®), the New Venture Championship Competition in Oregon, U.S.A. and Rice Business Plan Competition, Houston, Texas, U.S.A.

International business plan competitions create highly competitive and realistic commercial environments that test students to the full. MIM students have won 5 international competitions such as the ‘Global Moot Corp®Business Plan Championships’, the ‘New Venture Championship’, including the Global Social Venture Competition, and have won high honors in more than 35 final events.

MIM has competed in the annual Global Moot Corp® since 1997. It is the leading and most prestigious new venture competition for business schools in the world. The competition creates an environment in which the world's entrepreneurially minded graduate business students solicit startup funds from experienced investors in a simulation mirroring the real-world process of raising venture capital. MIM is the only school from Asia to be the Global Champion twice: in 1999 and 2005. They are two more championships from the New Venture Championship Competition in 2005 and 2015. We also won the ASIA VENTURE CHALLENGE (formally known as Asia Moot Corp) 7 times: in 2004, 2005, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2016.

Many of the business plans presented in the competitions have gone live when investors saw real profit potential.
