Anitesh Barua, PhD

Dr. Anitesh Barua is the William F. Wright Centennial Professor of Information Technology, Stevens Piper Foundation Professor of 2001, Distinguished Teaching Professor, Director of the Information Management program, and Associate Director of the Center for Research in Electronic Commerce at the McCombs School of Business, the University of Texas at Austin. He received his PhD from Carnegie Mellon University in 1991. His research has been sponsored by both government and private organizations e.g. Cisco Systems, Dell Computer, IBM Research and Intel Corporation. He has appeared on multiple occasions as an Electronic Commerce expert on major television and radio programs in U.S.A. and abroad.
